About the Role Are you ready to take your scientific expertise beyond the laboratory and into a customer-facing commercial role. We are seeking a Territory Manager to join a high-performing team representing a market-leading portfolio of genomics, molecular biology, and next-generation sequencing (NGS) technologies.
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a strong scientific background who enjoys building relationships and wants to play a key role in supporting researchers, clinicians, and laboratory professionals across Brisbane.
In this role, you will partner with researchers, laboratory managers, clinicians, and key stakeholders across academia, research institutes, hospitals, and private pathology laboratories. You will be responsible for managing existing customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and providing technical guidance to help customers achieve their research and clinical objectives.

Key Responsibilities - Drive sales growth by developing relationships with key decision-makers across research, clinical, and diagnostic environments.
- Manage and grow an existing customer portfolio while identifying and securing new business opportunities.
- Develop a strong understanding of customer workflows and provide tailored solutions that address their scientific and operational needs.
- Become a technical expert across the genomics, NGS, and molecular biology portfolio, delivering presentations, product demonstrations, and application support.
- Collaborate with internal teams to execute strategic sales initiatives and maximise market opportunities.
- Represent the company at industry conferences, workshops, and networking events to strengthen brand presence and customer engagement.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts, customer records, and market intelligence.
About You To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring:
- A degree in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or a related discipline.
- Hands-on experience working with genomics, molecular biology, next-generation sequencing (NGS), single-cell analysis, spatial biology, or related technologies.
- Experience working within a research laboratory, core facility, hospital, pathology laboratory, or commercial life science environment.
- Previous scientific sales experience is highly regarded; however, individuals looking to transition from the laboratory into sales are encouraged to apply.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into practical customer solutions.
- A proactive, relationship-focused approach with strong commercial awareness.
- A willingness to travel throughout the Queensland territory and engage regularly with customers.
