The CompanyKE Select are partnering with LECO Australia, a global manufacturer of high-performance analytical laboratory instrumentation, to recruit a Scientific Sales Specialist to manage and grow their Queensland territory.
The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically minded sales professional to join a respected international organisation supplying instrumentation across industries including mining, food & feed, agriculture, materials, environmental and research laboratories. This is a home office-based role covering Queensland, with the potential to expand into the Northern Territory as the business grows.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Managing Director, this is a field-based sales position responsible for developing and growing sales across a well-established territory. You will manage existing accounts while identifying new opportunities for LECO’s range of analytical instrumentation, consumables and spare parts.
The territory has historically been a strong performer and you will be supported by a national sales team and two Brisbane-based field service engineers.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and growing sales of scientific laboratory instrumentation across QLD
- Building strong relationships with laboratory, research and industry clients
- Identifying and developing new business opportunities within the territory
- Delivering technical presentations and product demonstrations
- Managing sales activities through CRM systems (Salesforce)
- Working closely with technical and service teams to support customers
- Representing the company at industry conferences and events
- Travel across Queensland is required as part of the role.
About You To be successful, you will combine technical knowledge with strong commercial capability and a passion for customer engagement. You may come from either a scientific sales background or a laboratory technical role looking to transition into sales.
- A Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Food Science, Agriculture, Materials Science, Metallurgy or related discipline
Leco - Sales Specialist - QLD - Experience working with analytical laboratory instrumentation or laboratory analytical techniques
- Previous sales experience in scientific instruments (highly regarded)
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously from a home office
- Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office
Experience in areas such as elemental analysis, GC-MS, metallography, moisture/ash analysis or calorimetry will be highly regarded.
