Laboratory Technician - Food Microbiology

Operating from a modern manufacturing facility in Western Sydney, they are committed to maintaining the highest standards of quality, food safety and continuous improvement.

About the Job:
  • Full-time hours: 6:00am to 2:00pm, Monday to Saturday (Wednesday off) 
  • Casual contract to start immediately through to 20 July 2026
  • Opportunity to work with a respected food manufacturing organisation

Working within a close-knit Quality team of three, you will be responsible for performing routine microbiological and chemical testing of raw materials, in-process, finished products, and environmental testing to support quality and food safety standards across the site.

About you: 
To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • A minimum of a Diploma of Laboratory Techniques, Bachelor of Food Science, Microbiology or equivalent qualification.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience performing microbiological and chemical testing within a food manufacturing environment
  • Experience within the dairy or beverage industry will be highly regarded
  • The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced laboratory environment
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality and food safety standards
  • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a small team
  • Must have your own transportation
