Field Service Engineer - Life Science Instrumentation - QLD

About The Role 

As Field Service Engineer, you will ensure that the highest standard of service and support be provided to a portfolio of research and manufacturing customers throughout the QLD territory, with some travel interstate.  You will provide Technical service support on a full range of highly complex equipment.
  
Responsibilities:             
  • Consistently provide the highest level of customer service and support at various customer sites, so driving accounts for a high portion of your work-day. 
  • Proven technical ability to troubleshoot and repair complex instrumentation.  Perform preventative services to improve instrument reliability.
  • Work as part of a diverse team and be willing to contribute on a continual basis.
  • Operate in a highly regulated environment, accurate and timely administration work is critical. 
  • When rostered onto Customer Support Centre provide phone support and detailed troubleshooting.
  • Work closely with Regional Service Managers to ensure effective first-time fix rates                                                                       
  • Ensure all service calls are handled on time and to the satisfaction of the customer                                                                        
  • Work to ensure the most cost-effective way to carry out repairs in the field so as to contain costs
About You:
  • Must have Field Service Engineer experience within a scientific industry
  • Minimum of Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or Scientific related experience.  
  • Impressive technical competence
  • Must be physically able to perform tasks required in installing, repairing and servicing instrumentation.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with both written and verbal communication.
  • Must possess a valid Driver’s licence.
  • Must be willing to travel interstate and/or overseas if required
