Field Account Manager – Bioprocessing (Analytical Chemistry Focus)

About the Role
KE Select is seeking a Field Account Manager to manage a portfolio of strategic biotechnology and pharmaceutical accounts, with a focus on analytical and quality control workflows in bioprocessing. This is a technical, customer-facing role where you will apply your analytical chemistry knowledge to support method development, process analytics, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.

The role is Sydney-based and involves regular travel across your territory and interstate. You will be responsible for identifying new opportunities, driving revenue growth, and positioning advanced analytical and bioprocessing solutions that meet customer needs.

About You
We are looking for a technically strong and commercially minded professional with a background in analytical chemistry.
  • Degree in analytical chemistry, chemistry, or a related scientific discipline
  • 1–3 years’ experience in technical sales, applications, or laboratory-based roles within life sciences, pharmaceuticals, or bioprocessing
  • Knowledge of analytical techniques such as chromatography (HPLC/GC), spectroscopy, or mass spectrometry
  • Experience in GMP, quality control, or regulated laboratory environments is highly regarded
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into practical, value-driven solutions
  • Proven experience building relationships with scientists, engineers, and procurement stakeholders
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Comfortable using CRM and digital tools to manage pipelines and customer engagement
  • Highly organised, self-motivated, and able to work independently in a field-based role
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel
Key Responsibilities
  • Drive sales growth across strategic accounts using solution-based selling
  • Support customers with analytical and bioprocessing challenges as a technical advisor
  • Identify opportunities within analytical development, QC labs, and manufacturing support functions
  • Develop and execute account plans aligned to customer objectives
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline management
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver integrated solutions
  • Prepare technical proposals, quotations, and presentations
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, regulatory requirements, and emerging analytical technologies
  • Represent the company at industry conferences and customer events
