Our client based in Darlinghurst, is a specialised central laboratory service supporting Phase I–IV clinical trials and research programs for pharmaceutical, biotechnology and healthcare organisations. Established in 1995, the division provides tailored pathology testing, study management, data management, logistics and bio-banking services, supported by NATA/RCPA/TGA accredited laboratories and experienced project management teams.
The opportunity
The Clinical Trials Quoting and Proposals Specialist is responsible for developing accurate, timely, and commercially competitive proposals and budgets for clinical trial projects. This role requires close collaboration with clients, internal operational teams, and senior management to ensure that each proposal reflects the scope of work, meets client expectations, and aligns with company standards.
Key Responsibilities - Client Liaison: Engage directly with clients and their senior management teams to confirm project scope, objectives, and specific requirements.
- Proposal Development: Review clinical protocols, schedules, and pricing structures to prepare detailed quotes and proposals for new business opportunities.
- Budget Management: Consult regularly with clients throughout the proposal process to ensure budget clarity and that all terms, conditions, and assumptions are clearly described
- Coordinate internal handover meetings for newly awarded studies to ensure a seamless transition to Project Management.
- Amendment Analysis: Review and analyse amendments to ongoing studies, preparing updated budgets and proposals as required.
- Data Tracking: Maintain an accurate and current register of all new quotes and amended budgets within the Laboratory Information Management System
About YOU:To be successful in this role :-
- Bachelor of Medical science or equivalent
- Pathology/clinical trials position experience desirable
- Proven experience preparing Phase I clinical trial quotations and budgets.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to liaise confidently with senior-level clients.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with quotation tracking systems (e.g., LIMS)
