The Vice President of Pre-Clinical Development will join a passionate team, including biology and medicinal chemistry experts, focused on finding innovative and transformational solutions for untreatable cancers.
About The Role Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the design and execution of biology research programs and IND-enabling studies during preclinical development.
- Play a critical role in developing and advancing corporate mission and strategic direction.
- Provide leadership for overall strategic planning and successful implementation of multiple preclinical research and development programs through different project teams.
- Managing a team of 4 Scientists.
- Provide input to the CEO and Head of Medicinal Chemistry to help prioritise therapeutic areas based on scientific and clinical data, unmet medical needs, market differentiation, relevance of animal models and feasibility of clinical trials for future partnering and internal Phase IIa (PoC) trials.
- Initiate and manage relationships with third parties such as Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and Academic partners in specific disease areas.
- Develop a high-level target product profile and help align preclinical research and development activities to the clinical endpoint.
- Accountable for the ADME/PK, DMPK and toxicology studies to enable the nomination of a candidate for preclinical development and for IND submission.
- Manage overall preclinical development operations, project resources, budget and timelines for all assigned programs.
- Attend meetings of the Board of the employer, as requested from time to time
- Ensure continuous compliance with the employer and any relevant associated Company with any corporate governance code(s) as may, from time to time, apply to those companies.
About You The successful candidate will have at least 10 years of experience in a role where they have been responsible for the design and execution of biology research programs and IND-enabling studies during preclinical development.
