About the Role
As Strategic Account Manager, you will be responsible for owning and expanding strategic relationships with a defined portfolio of high-value accounts across Australia and New Zealand. This role is central to the regional growth agenda and demands a highly strategic approach to customer engagement, value creation, and commercial alignment.
You will serve as the executive interface between key clients and internal business units driving alignment across cross-functional teams to deliver customised solutions that maximise share of wallet, deepen long-term engagement, and strengthen partnership value.
This is a high-visibility role, ideal for a commercial sales professional with strong business acumen and the ability to influence at senior levels both internally and externally.
Key Responsibilities: - Architect multi-year account strategies that align customer goals with enterprise-level objectives.
- Cultivate strategic relationships with senior customer stakeholders across commercial and technical functions.
- Build internal coalitions across product, commercial, and operational teams to deliver unified customer experiences.
- Unlock full portfolio potential through cross-divisional collaboration, bundled offerings, and tailored commercial models.
- Translate complex customer insights into actionable growth opportunities and commercial roadmaps.
- Lead quarterly account reviews, performance analysis, and executive briefings to ensure transparency, alignment, and ongoing value delivery.
About You
You are a Strategic Account Leader with the confidence to engage at the C-suite level and the execution capability to drive measurable results. You understand how to connect customer ambition with organisational capability and you know how to lead through influence in complex, matrixed environments.
You bring: - Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline
- Minimum 3 years in a strategic account management or ideally within Pharma, Applied Markets, or Life Sciences
- Proven success managing large, complex accounts with diverse stakeholder groups
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to create and communicate value propositions that resonate across business levels
- Expertise in navigating global, decentralised organisations and leading through ambiguity
- Superior relationship-building, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills
- A high degree of personal integrity, accountability, and professional resilience
- Digital fluency across CRM systems and Microsoft Office suite
