Our client, based in Darlinghurst, is a busy well recognised hospital laboratory. They offer a market-leading range of onsite testing and expert consultative support. They have an extensive experience at the forefront of diagnostic pathology and ongoing commitment to research and scientific development They are seeking an experienced Genetic Scientist to work in their cancer genomic laboratory.
About the role
This is a great opportunity to work in a team environment within a laboratory of experienced genetic scientists. You will work with a team delivering quality and efficient cancer genetic services, dedicated to being a leader in this growing field of precision medicine and strive to improve access to these services within Australia.
This is a contract position, working 38 hours a week for 12 months, Monday to Friday, day shift 9am-5pm.
About the candidate- To be considered for this role you will hold a Bachelor of Science in a related discipline with at least 12 months experience in Next Generation Sequencing.
- The position involves bench work and set up for sequencing.
- Exposure to Thermo-Fisher NGS and Experience in cancer genomic will be highly regarded.
- Great communication skills and eager to learn.
