About the Role
On behalf of our client, we are seeking an experienced Project Engineer / Manager to support the successful delivery of capital projects across a complex manufacturing site. This role will see you managing project scope, timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standards of quality and compliance.
You will lead small to medium-sized projects or manage sub-teams within larger programs, working closely with internal stakeholders, contractors, and external partners. From early-stage planning and capital approvals through to commissioning and validation, you will play a key role across the full project lifecycle.
Key responsibilities include: - End-to-end project management across multiple concurrent projects
- Preparation and management of capital expenditure proposals
- Oversight of engineering and supply contracts
- Coordination of procurement and contractor activities
- Ensuring compliance with quality systems, risk management processes, and regulatory requirements
- Supporting commissioning and validation in collaboration with specialist teams
- Contributing to technical documentation, SOPs, and training materials
- Assisting with plant shutdown planning and execution where required
This is a site-based role with a combination of office and on-site responsibilities, including occasional travel between locations. About YouYou are a driven and capable engineering professional with proven experience delivering projects in regulated environments.
- Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
- Demonstrated project management experience, including managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong understanding of engineering systems within regulated industries (pharmaceutical experience advantageous)
- Familiarity with GMP and relevant compliance frameworks (ISO, OH&S, TGA, FDA)
- Experience in contract management and project documentation
- Solid understanding of risk and quality management methodologies
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Advanced proficiency in MS Project and the Microsoft Office suite
You are highly organised, adaptable, and confident working across cross-functional teams in a matrix environment.
