About the Role Are you a commercially driven sales professional who thrives on building strategic relationships and uncovering growth opportunities?
We are seeking an experienced Major Account Manager to take ownership of a portfolio of high-value accounts across New South Wales and ACT. This is a senior, field-based role focused on accelerating business growth, strengthening customer partnerships and identifying new opportunities across academia, biotech, pharma, healthcare and research markets.
Key responsibilities include: - Managing and growing strategic customer relationships
- Developing account plans and executing territory growth strategies
- Identifying and converting new business opportunities
- Leading contract negotiations, tenders and pricing discussions
- Building relationships with stakeholders from the lab through to executive level
- Maintaining a strong sales pipeline and delivering accurate forecasts
- Collaborating with technical and commercial teams to deliver customer-focused solutions
- Representing the business at industry events and customer meetings
This role offers significant autonomy, a highly respected product portfolio and the opportunity to work with some of the most influential organisations in the New South Wales life sciences market.
About You You are a confident relationship builder with a passion for science and a strong track record of commercial success.
Ideally, you will have:
- A degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Biomedical Science, Chemistry or related discipline.
- Proven experience in B2B sales, account management or business development
- Experience within life sciences, biotechnology, laboratory, healthcare, diagnostics or pharmaceutical markets
- Strong strategic account management and business development skills
- Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement abilities
- A consultative, solution-selling approach
- Strong commercial acumen and customer focus
- Experience using CRM systems and digital sales tools
