About the Company This is an opportunity to join a well-established Australian contract manufacturer within the pharmaceutical and nutraceutical sector. Operating in a GMP-certified facility, they produce high-quality therapeutic goods for both local and international markets. Due to ongoing growth, they are seeking a trade-qualified Maintenance Fitter to join their engineering team on a full-time, day-shift basis.
About the Role This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong preventative and corrective maintenance experience in a regulated manufacturing environment. You will play a key role in maintaining production uptime by ensuring the reliability and performance of critical equipment.
Key Responsibilities - Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance on coating, blending, and dispensing machinery.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical faults and breakdowns in a timely manner.
- Assist with the installation, commissioning, and optimisation of new equipment.
- Collaborate with production and quality teams to coordinate maintenance activities.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records in accordance with GMP and WHS requirements.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects focused on equipment reliability and performance.
Skills and Experience - Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a maintenance role within a pharmaceutical, food, or similar regulated environment.
- Demonstrated experience with rotating equipment, conveyors, mixers, and automated systems.
- Solid understanding of cGMP, WHS, and preventative maintenance practices.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical documentation.
- Strong communication and a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
