About the Role S2N is looking to appoint a highly experienced and hands-on Head of Operations to take responsibility for the day-to day operations of the company. This leader will work with the CEO and CSO to develop and execute on the Company’s strategy and ensure that all processes and procedures are effective to meet their ongoing needs and goals. This is full-time role, but a highly experienced application will be considered for a part-time appointment.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all staff operations, with particular emphasis on R&D, Quality, Regulatory and Manufacturing capabilities
- Work closely with CDMO and CRO partners, including the initial partnering and ongoing negotiations and management
- Manage key external stakeholders in IT, HR, legal, accounting and R&D tax matters
- Identify investment and grant opportunities; prepare and deliver presentations and applications
- Oversee financial planning and management, including budgeting, forecasting and resource allocation
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to S2N’s product development and company operations
About You: - Tertiary scientific qualifications in a relevant discipline and advanced business qualifications (MBA, MComm), or equivalent experience essential
- Significant experience in an equivalent role in a similar setting (cell therapies, biologics, pharmaceuticals)
- Self-motivated with the proven ability to mentor and develop effective teams
- Thrives in a small, cross-functional team to deliver results
- Demonstrated scientific project management capabilities and ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities
- Ability to successfully influence internal and external stakeholders
- Preference for a Sydney-based candidate but consideration for remote applicants with the ability to travel regularly to Sydney and other locations, as required
