Clinical Trial Assistant/Coordinator

KE Select has exclusively partnered with Marine Biomedical in the search for a newly created role of Clinical Trial Assistant/Coordinator to be based in Perth.
  
Marine Biomedical is an innovative biotech company that is developing and manufacturing life-changing medical products from marine materials. Their PearlBone™ technology is a natural bone substitute derived from mother of pearl and they’re gearing up for clinical trials and path to regulatory approval.
  
The Role
A permanent full-time position, reporting to the Scientific Medical Advisor & Director, is available for a Clinical Trial Assistant/Coordinator to be based initially at the UWA QEII medical centre. This is a newly created role to support the next phase of the company leading into clinical trials and will require someone with the willingness to be flexible and provide support where necessary. The role will involve interacting with internal and external stakeholders and requires independent thinking, taking initiative and displaying a high level of professionalism.
  
Responsibilities are as follows:
  • Support the preparation of the human ethics application and draft responses
  • Handle regulatory preparations and submissions
  • Assist with the coordination of e-meetings with WA clinicians and regulatory agencies as required
  • Provide administration support, including logistics, managing supplies, and correspondence
  • Facilitate communication between the Company, clinical team, research team, and other stakeholders
  • Develop and maintenance of study database, protocols, forms and paperwork
  • Oversee and assist with the management of the clinical trial progress, including data collection and analysis
  • Contribute to grant applications, pitch decks, conference presentations and marketing materials
  • Other duties as required

About You
Desirable applicants will possess:
  • Qualifications in Public Health, Biomedical Science or related field
  • Previous experience in clinical trials for a medical device is highly regarded
  • Experience with administrative support for research and clinical environments
  • Proven ability to work independently with a high level of professionalism
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Full working rights in Australia
