About the Role This is an exciting opportunity to combine your technical expertise in Clinical Flow Cytometry with commercial acumen, supporting pathology laboratories and hospitals to deliver life-changing diagnostics.
As a Sales Specialist – Clinical Flow Cytometry, you’ll work closely with public and private pathology providers across Australia, driving adoption of flow cytometry instruments, reagents, and software for clinical applications. You’ll build strong customer relationships, identify growth opportunities, and support customers from initial engagement through to implementation and ongoing use.
Key responsibilities include: - Driving new business and managing a qualified sales pipeline across instruments, reagents, and software
- Coordinating product presentations, demonstrations, and evaluations
- Preparing quotations and supporting tenders, including pricing packs and technical schedules
- Providing pre- and post-sales technical support in collaboration with Applications Specialists
- Maintaining regular contact with key users to support adoption and reagent pull-through
- Capturing customer requirements and coordinating with internal teams to deliver solutions
- Keeping CRM records up to date and sharing relevant market intelligence
- Representing the business at conferences, workshops, and industry events
About You
You’re a science professional with hands-on experience in Clinical Flow Cytometry and a genuine interest in helping laboratories succeed. You’re proactive, confident in customer-facing environments, and ready to grow your career in a commercial role.
You’ll bring: - A Bachelor’s degree in Science (Immunology, Hematology, Cell Biology, or related)
- Essential experience working with flow cytometry in a Clinical Diagnostic Laboratory
- Ideally 1–3 years’ experience in sales or applications support within clinical diagnostics
or a Laboratory Scientist with strong flow cytometry experience looking to transition into sales - Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A commercial mindset with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
- Willingness to travel (approximately 30–40% within your territory)
- Existing relationships within pathology laboratories (highly regarded)
