About the role: Our client is one of Australia’s leading Pathology and Medical diagnostic service providers. They provide specialist services to doctors, specialists and hospitals throughout Western Australia and the Northern Territory, as well as commercial and Government organisations in Australia and internationally.
Reporting to the Head of Haematology, you will lead and support the strategy and operations of the department, your responsibilities will include:
- Deliver excellent operational and clinical service
- Lead and engage the Haematology team
- Provide ongoing education and training
- Coordinate internal and external quality control reviews
- Responsible for successful NATA accreditation of the department
About you: To be successful in this role, you will be self-motivated people leader with excellent leadership and interpersonal skills. You will also demonstrate:
- Possess a Bachelor of Medical Science or equivalent
- Demonstrated Haematology laboratory experience (minimum 5 years)
- Have a high degree of technical knowledge and a thorough understanding of the theory and practice of haematology
- Have excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail and logistical capabilities
- Demonstrated commitment to and experience in quality in the haematology laboratory
- Able to lead a team while working independently
- Have excellent time management skills together with the ability to prioritise workflow, multitask and make sound judgement decisions
