About The Company Our client is a clinical-stage biotechnology company creating a new generation of RNA therapies to change the lives of patients with genetic diseases. We are seeking a highly motivated Toxicology Project Manager, passionate about translating drugs to the clinic, to join this growing team. This role will play a pivotal role in overseeing toxicology projects from conception to completion, with a strong focus on vendor management and ensuring regulatory compliance.
About the Role A permanent full-time position, working business hours Monday to Friday, is available for the right candidate, based in the western inner suburbs of Perth. We are looking for individuals that can perform the following:
- Manage all aspects of assigned toxicology projects, including timelines, and budgets.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including scientists, vendors, and management.
- Ensure clear communication and coordination between all project team members.
- Oversee vendor selection, contract negotiation, and performance management.
- Monitor project progress, identify and mitigate potential risks, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, ensuring compliance with all relevant SOPs and regulatory requirements.
- Stay up-to-date on current toxicology testing methods and regulatory guidelines.
- Additional duties as required.
About You To be successful in this role you will have a strong foundation in project management along with a passion for toxicology and keeping projects on track. You will have a strong desire and ability to work in a fast-paced, project-driven environment. You will be expected to have the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in science or higher
- Previous experience in a project management role, preferably within the life sciences or toxicology industry.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience with project management software (e.g. MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira).
- Working knowledge of GLP principles and regulatory agencies (e.g. FDA, EPA, TGA) highly desirable.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Previous experience working with CROs and an understanding of clinical trial protocols (highly desirable).
- Full working rights in Australia.
