Our client is a leading healthcare solutions manufacturer who’s been in the business for over 60 years. They are renowned for their range of medical devices used in respiratory care. About the Role
As the Financial and Tax accountant, you will report directly to the Finance manager. Representing the company, you will provide valuable information to enable better decision-making as our products support global health care.

Main duties
  • Review expense claims to ensure they are valid business expenses, complete, accurate, and in line with the company's requirements and ensure the presence of receipts and tax invoices, escalating any anomalies found.
  • Complete Payroll Tax returns, PAYG and BAS and assist with the lodgement of FBT returns and Wage Declaration for Workers' Compensation.
  • Manage tax provisions with month-end and year-end tax compliance, ensuring accuracy and adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Carry out financial projects as required to ensure business needs and priorities are achieved.
  • Provide training and education to the wider business on accounting processes and principles to ensure business understanding of requirements.
  • Review AR accounts monthly and assist in
    providing commentary for all overdue balances.
  • Analyse and interpret financial statements and accounts to
    identify variance to budgets and business plans and ensure
    appropriate investigation and follow-up.

About You
  • B.Com + CA/CPA qualified essential
  • Big4 background is considered favourably
  • 2-4 years experience in financial / accounting position/tax
  • Excellent knowledge of Australian tax laws and regulations
  • Efficient utilisation of ATO Portal and state-based SRO Portals.
  • Leadership and project management skills
  • Previous knowledge and experience in the SAP software system preferred
